Big Bang’s Lee Seung-hyun, aka Seungri, 21, has been a fan of JYJ’s Kim Junsu, 24, since well before the younger star entered show business. Reportedly Seungri has particular respect for Junsu’s high-baritone voice in “Timeless” and closely followed the older star in the news and tracked all his song releases. Once a Big Bang member, he professed on a radio programme his great admiration for Junsu. Following that praise, the latter collaborated with Big Bang in a show after which he was visibly elated, and gave Seungri a big friendly handshake, which must have pleased his younger “fan”.

K-Pop media report that while Epik High’s Mithra Jin and Super Junior’s Kim Hee-chul, both 26,  are very close friends they have both denied rumours they are a gay couple, claiming their closeness is down to the fact they were born in the same year. Reports hinted at their homosexuality suggesting that Hee-chul was closer to Mithra than any of his own band’s members, that the pair regularly had dinner together and went for long drives around Seoul’s suburbs, and that they share the same tastes in fashion. When confronted with the rumours, Hee-chul acknowledged that while friends and fans found the relationship “weird”, he assured everyone that the two were just good friends.

MBLAQ’s Lee Chang-sun, aka Lee Joon, 23, and SHINee’s Lee Jin-ki, aka Onew, 21, have been close friends for a long time they say. Fan blogs and media reports said the two had openly expressed care for each other, and in one instance Lee Joon said he was worried that Onew was being overworked at rehearsals for the “Rock of Ages” stage show and that he had visited the show often to check up on him. Apparently, they often go cycling together at Apgujung (a shopping district of Seoul) and have dinner. Other blogs point out that during the past few months, on separate occasions, each has asked the other if he was watching TV as they gave acceptance speeches on broadcast entertainment-award shows.

Kyuhyun and Lee Seok-hun This couple met through Park Jung-su, aka Leeteuk, 27; leader of 13-member boy band Super Junior, who had announced on a radio show, that he wanted to introduce SG Wannabe’s Lee Seok-hoon to Super Junior’s Cho Kyu-hyun, aka Kyuhyun, 23. After that, both got to know each other and apparently get on very well, with some fans saying they had seen them attending solo artist Park Hyo-shin and SHINee concerts together.

Former Wonder Girl Sunmi, aka Mimi, has long shown endearment towards SNSD’s (Girls’ Generation’s) Kim Tae-yeon, aka Taeyeon, 21. Reportedly, when Wonder Girls were interviewed on Chin Chin Radio, where Taeyeon works as an MC, Sunmi was teased her heavy application of make-up was all for Taeyeon. During a tour of the United States, Sunmi told the press she was a fan of SNSD, and even did a little dance to one of their songs. Fellow Wonder Girl Kim Yoo-bin, aka Yoobin, added that Sunmi was always heard listening to SNSD’s music.

What’s going on between IU and Taeyang?

It is widely known that solo artist Lee Ji-eun, aka IU, 17, is very fond of Big Bang’s Dong Young-bae, aka Taeyang, 22. Emulation being one of the best compliments, very soon after Taeyang launched his single, “I Need A Girl”, IU covered it with the gender modified for her release of “I Need A Boy”. The two performed the number together on the SBS show “Hero Girls” after IU confessed her desire to see Taeyang in a much-publicised phone call. A fan blog reports that upon meeting IU, Taeyang said: “You have grown prettier with time. And you sing well too.”

IU then gave Taeyang a peck on the cheek.
